Workers from Summit Masonry & Building Restoration LLC, of NewHaven, CT, pose after the final facade pieces of the plinth of the Robert E. Lee Monument were removed December 22, 2021, in Richmond, VA. The company was contracted and traveled down from Connecticut after no Virginia-based companies bid on the projects to remove Confederate statues and monuments.
